Labour Day, Chiang Mai | 2025

More than 300 people, both Thai and migrant workers, came together to demand fair wages, access to fundamental rights, and greater justice. From the Buddhist Center to the Three Kings Monument, their signs rose in Thai, Burmese, and English, carrying the voices of all, including LGBTQIA+ workers. There were open spaces for people to speak, share their stories, express anger, and affirm their dignity. A tribute was also held for the workers who lost their lives in the recent collapse of the Office of the Auditor General building in Bangkok.

The event was organized by several local groups: the Chiang Mai Barista Union, Empower Foundation, New Lanna Makers, MAP Foundation, Dream Group, Prakaisang Foundation, Young Pride, and Women Workers for Justice.
