Pro-Democratic Protest in Thailand | 2020

In 2020, Thailand witnessed a historic wave of pro-democracy protests, led largely by student groups and young activists demanding constitutional reform, government accountability, and monarchy reform. At the heart of this movement stood Sanam Luang, a symbolic and contested public space in Bangkok, where thousands gathered to make their voices heard. This photo series, taken during one of the largest demonstrations that year, captures the intensity, courage, and creative resistance of a generation standing up for its future. From handmade signs and makeshift stages to quiet moments of defiance, these images document the atmosphere on the ground — charged with hope, urgency, and collective momentum.
