Vijayadashami, Bangkok | 2024

Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra, marks the end of Navaratri and the symbolic triumph of good over evil — often represented through the defeat of Ravana by Lord Rama. Across India, the festival unfolds through rituals, processions, staged epics, and the burning of towering effigies. This photo series documents the atmosphere surrounding Vijayadashami: from crowded streets and open-air stages, to the intimate moments of prayer, preparation, and community gathering that precede the public spectacle. The images observe how myth, devotion, and performance blend into shared cultural space.
