Through portraiture and documentary storytelling, this photo series spotlights six women enterprise leaders who overcame systemic and personal challenges to build successful businesses. A total of 271 women-led enterprises in Thailand took UN Women’s WE RISE Together business development training in 2023 and 2024. They have gone on to achieve ever more accomplishments by using the knowledge and skills that they learned to expand market opportunities. Here are profiles of such six women enterprise leaders who, with persistence and ingenuity, overcame hurdles to build solid, innovative businesses and pave the way for other women to achieve their ambitions in business.

WE RISE Together started in March 2022. It is funded by the Australian Government (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) through the Mekong-Australian Partnership and implemented by UN Women. The project promotes women’s economic empowerment by expanding market access for women-owned businesses through procurement opportunities. ​
