In Sa Kaeo Province, along Thailand’s key trade route with Cambodia, I documented WHO Thailand’s field visit focusing on measures to control the spread of COVID-19 through cross-border trade and migration zones. This visual story captures health officials, quarantine points, coordination with immigration services, and the implementation of public health protocols to protect both Thai and Cambodian border communities. The visit also showcased inclusive approaches to migrant health, emphasizing regional cooperation and preparedness. Commissioned by WHO Thailand, the images accompanied a feature story on best practices in border health surveillance and COVID-19 response, published on the WHO website.
